E-ID Card Blank in Jakarta Runs Out

Physical recording service of E-ID card in Jakarta would be disrupted. This is because, the supply of id card blank from the Ministry of Home Affairs runs out.

Blank stock is indeed from Ministry of Home Affairs. Not only from Jakarta, have some areas also not able to print e-ID card for a long time

Jakarta Population and Civil Registration Dept Head, Edison Sianturi disclosed the needs of the blank every day are 40 thousand. When being re-proposed, the ministry only distributes 2-3 thousand of blank.

"Blank stock is indeed from Ministry of Home Affairs. Not only from Jakarta, have some areas also not able to print e-ID card for a long time," he expressed, Wednesday (3/8).

33 Citizens of Jatinegara Process e-ID Card

As a result, the officer can only give statement form for replacing e-ID card. If the previous stock was printed, the form holder would be summoned.

"From the form, we ask them to attach telephone number that can be contacted. If the blank is printed, we will call them," he told.

Therefore his side hoped those who have not received e-ID card to be patient waiting for blank supply. Because this is the authority of the government.

"Hopefully it already can be normal again," he finished.
